One does not move from the possible to the real, but from the impossible to the true

Documentary archive

The documentary holdings are organised into two main series: manuscripts and correspondence. The manuscripts consist in rough drafts, sketches and notes by the author, in various formats and lengths, grouped into 564 catalogued items, most of which remain unpublished and, in many cases, incomplete. The correspondence primarily consists of letters received from major figures in contemporary culture, such as, Antonio Machado, Miguel de Unamuno, Gabriela Mistral, León Felipe, Octavio Paz, Emil M. Cioran, José Ferrater Mora, Rafael Dieste, José Gaos, Jorge Guillén, Luis Cernuda, José Lezama Lima, Ramón Gómez de la Serna, Ramón Gaya, Rosa Chacel, José Bergamín, Américo Castro, Camilo José Cela, Elemire Zolla, Elena Croce, Albert Camus, Vittoria Guerrini, Guido Mutti, Alain Guy, José Luis López Aranguren, etc. The “correspondence” series is compounded by approximately five thousand units. The rest of the documentary holdings are the series of newspaper clippings from her or about her, around eight hundreds photographs and the legacy of her father, Blas Zambrano, and her sister, Araceli.
